We currently have open PhD and Postdoc positions.

Bachelor/Master projects and theses for students from the ETH Domain (ETH, EPFL, Empa, PSI): As we offer a wide range of topics between optics and condensed-​​matter physics, experiment and theory, fundamentals and application, it is important to meet for discussing the topic that meets your strengths and preferences best. Guidelines for applying to PhD or postdoctoral positions

If you are applying to an open position, please follow the instructions given in the job opening.

In the case of an unsolicited application (with or without grants supporting your stay), it is very important that you explain in detail what your interest in our group is, which of our topics you feel particularly attracted by and why you consider yourself the right candidate. A convincing motivation is more important than excelling in grades.
